Divyanka Tripathi’s Wedding Style Decoded
Actors Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya tied the knot recently in Bhopal as per Hindu customs and rituals in a lavish ceremony that was pretty private, with only family members attending the occasion. Vivek who formerly enjoyed a stint with the corporate world after his education at the University of Cardiff, U.K, decided to return to his modelling roots, where he met his future wife Divyanka on the sets of the popular Hindi television show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Though the two had met each other on the sets, they were far from getting married, until they met again with a different purpose. Their relationship was rekindled by fellow actor, Pankaj Bhatia, after which the couple did a hush-hush engagement that was followed by the posh wedding ceremony. For the ceremony, Divyanka looked ravishing in a red and gold lehenga. Her heavy gold jewelry looked splendid on her, giving her a regal style, while Vivek looked dapper in a creamy white sherwani that looked absolutely charming and elegant. The wedding which took place in Divyanka’s hometown of Bhopal was attended by actors Vipul Roy, Manish Nagdev, Rajesh Kumar and Pankaj Bhatia.
The couple was said to be gazing romantically into each other’s eyes throughout the ceremony. As both of them wanted the wedding to be a family affair, only close family members were invited. The couple plans on hosting a reception in Mumbai shortly for all friends and colleagues from the film fraternity. Even though the ceremony was marred by rainfall, the bride said that it made the special occasion more romantic, after all, romance and the monsoon go hand in hand. Vivek, apparently also couldn’t take his eyes of Divyanka, and was constantly complimenting her at every opportunity that was afforded to him.
The reception was held at Chandigarh, the hometown of the groom. The reception an equally lavish affair as the wedding, took place at a posh five-star hotel in the city, with around 100-150 guests invited by Vivek’s family. The groom, Vivek apparently belongs to a family of lawyers. Vivek sported a formal suit while his wife was seen in more contemporary attire compared to what she had worn for the wedding, a glamorous gown.
