Aishwarya Rai – Top 5 styles
When it comes to pulling off spectacular styles, be they for numerous movies, Cannes and red carpet appearances or other personal trips, the former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, lauded as one of the most beautiful women in the world does it with absolute ease and elan. It’s hard to believe that the miss world turned actor is going to celebrate her 43rd birthday on the 1st of November,2016, because she still looks as beautiful as she did when she made her acting debut way back in 1997. On the occasion of her birthday, we take you through five of her most stunning styles ever.
1. Raavan Premiere,2010
At the premiere for her film Raavan in London, Aishwarya looked amazing in this heavily embroidered Sabyasachi saree with an embroidered blouse. Her blouse sleeves were covered in white floral embroidered motifs that added to the elegance of the saree. While her accessories were minimal, she did sport a pair of diamond drop earrings along with a few rings on both her hands and a black studded purse as well. Her pink lip color, metallic eye shadow and thick black eyeliner also complemented the look quite well.
Aishwarya looked ravishing at the 2014 Cannes festival dressed in a gold and bronze mermaid gown designed by Roberto Cavalli, which accentuated her curves perfectly. With bright red lipstick and wavy hair, she made a stunning entrance to the film festival. This look will remain in people’s memories for years to come.
3. Pink Panter 2 premiere,2009
At the New York City premiere of the Pink Panther 2, in which she starred alongside comedy legend Steve Martin, Aishwarya kept it classic, in a gorgeous Alberta Ferretti gown. The exquisitely designed gown was anything but basic black. She chose to accessorize the look with a diamond necklace that only made her look even more sensational.
4. Cannes, 2013
At the 2014Cannes film festival in France, Aishwarya sported an Elie Saab couture gown. The printed black gown with shimmering sequined lace embroidery was a treat to the eyes. Opting for minimal make-up and a black clutch, she accessorized her look to perfection.
5. Jodhaa Akbar, 2008
Aishwarya Rai’s look in the film was a definite treat for all brides-to-be. Her styles perfectly replicated the opulence and grandeur of traditional Mughal and Rajput outfits from the 16th century. It apparently took two hundred artisans over 600 days to mold 400 kg of gold and precious stones in order to recreate the kind of jewelry prevalent to the Mughal era. All of Aishwarya’s lehenga styles featured heavy embroidery including zardozi (metallic embroidery on warm color tones) along with Kundan work (setting gemstones onto the fabric of the lehenga) and some gota work too. Aishwarya’s styles from this movie are undoubtedly some of her best looks ever.
