The Latest Trends 2014 Lakme Fashion Week
This Lakme Fashion Week 2014 more than 115 designers has made their significant contribution in the Indian fashion Industry. Out of which 23 are the new designers that will debut the ramp. This year check out what was hot and in the latest runaway fashion trends list. Lakmé Fashion Week featured more than 100 designers from the 18 Cities of India and the world. In terms of showcasing designers on the ramp (92 Designers will be showcased on the ramp). The event happened at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai from 12th to 16th March 2014.
Esteemed designers, Manish Malhotra & Rajesh Pratap Singh opened fashion week in their own signature styles. This season also included well known Indian designers like Shantanu & Nikhil, Neeta Lulla,Tarun Tahiliani, Anita Dongre, Anju Modi, Narendra Kumar and Krishna Mehta.
LFW also showcased internationally renowned accessory designer Mawi in a special collaboration with creative genius Gaurav Gupta.
StreetStyle is the latest trend emerging across the world and Lakmé Fashion Week that is cool, stylish and comfortable. Designer Ritika Mirchandani’s chola tops, kurtis and patiala pants were hot. Street style is a perfect for casual and smart look. 80% length is back!
Easy, Breezy, Maxi is quite in. Designer Chandni Mohan’s maxi and bright summer dresses are quite in demand and is perfect for hot summers. Block print, digital, handloom, Floral patterns will add to your summery look.
Block heels are in vogue. Designer Veda Raheja says “elevation and are extremely comfortable” they not only pop the outfit but also increases your confidence. Floral patterns and pastel colors block heels rocked the LFW ramp this year.
50’s Vintage dresses of Sounia Gohil looked cool. The patterns like block, dots and stripes added that extra elegance to the ramp models. These Mid length and sleeveless dresses are just perfect for BBQ get-together’s and summer lunches.

Parisian label Zhen and Mossi (French and Chinese) designers debut their collection at LFW with their amazing detailing fluidity and lightness through elegant silhouettes. I simply love their edgy designs and color combinations.
Arpita Mehta showcased her collection inspired by holiday spirit based on the island of Mykonos. Her collection was in shades of yellow and blues that included flowy dhoti pants paired with heavy embellished short kurta. I am in love with her chic short kurtis with paired with colorful tulip pants. She showcased embellished bodysuits, buttoned down dresses, sheer floor length kurtas, peplum tops, dhoti pants, cropped cholis, geometric prints and floor length skirts.
Sourabh Kant Shrivastava, Divya Seth and designer Aartivijay Gupta also showcased bright floral hues and prints inspired by holiday look.
